Tragic Murder of Former Tennis Star Radhika Yadav: What Led to the Fatal Incident?

Investigation Underway in Radhika Yadav's Murder

In Gurugram, authorities are exploring all potential leads in the shocking murder of former tennis player Radhika Yadav. The investigation is particularly focused on the whereabouts of her mother during the tragic event.

An FIR filed by Radhika's uncle, Kuldeep Yadav, reveals that her mother, Manju Yadav, was on the first floor of their residence at the time of the incident.

The 25-year-old athlete was fatally shot by her father, Deepak Yadav, at their double-storey home located in the affluent Sushant Lok area on Thursday. Deepak, aged 49, later admitted to the crime and was taken into custody.

According to the FIR, Kuldeep stated that Deepak, Manju, and Radhika resided on the first floor, while he and his family occupied the ground floor.

Around 10:30 AM on Thursday, Kuldeep heard a loud noise and rushed upstairs, as detailed in the FIR.

He discovered Radhika lying in a pool of blood in the kitchen, with a revolver located in the drawing room. Kuldeep and his son, Piyush Yadav, quickly transported Radhika to Asia Maringo Hospital in Sector 56, where she was pronounced dead.

Initial reports indicated that the shooting occurred around 2 PM while Radhika was preparing food in the kitchen.

Kuldeep confirmed that only Deepak, Manju, and Radhika were present on the first floor during the incident, while their son Dheeraj was not at home.

Police investigations revealed that Deepak fired at least five shots, three of which struck Radhika in the back, resulting in her immediate death. Earlier, it was suggested that her mother was on the ground floor and rushed upstairs after hearing what she thought were pressure cooker explosions.

Kuldeep expressed disbelief over the murder, highlighting Radhika's accomplishments as a talented tennis player with numerous trophies. He noted that Deepak possessed a licensed .32 caliber revolver, which was found at the scene.

Authorities are examining all aspects of the case, including the actions of Radhika's mother during the shooting.

Sources indicate that Deepak confessed to the shooting, claiming he was often ridiculed for relying on Radhika's earnings. However, police have stated that the conflict stemmed from issues related to the tennis academy Radhika operated.

According to Gurugram police spokesperson Sandeep Singh, "Radhika managed a tennis academy, and her father was reportedly unhappy with her success."
