In a heartbreaking incident from Nagaur district, a 75-year-old woman, adorned with jewelry worth seven lakh rupees, left her home to collect fodder and did not return. The following day, her body was discovered inside a plastic bag.

The local police quickly initiated an investigation after the shocking discovery of the woman's mutilated body, which had been decapitated and dismembered. The news of her death sent shockwaves throughout the community.


Search Efforts and Discovery of the Body

On March 16, Nathi Devi left her home but failed to return. Her family began searching the village and nearby fields, but by nightfall, there was still no sign of her. The next day, a plastic bag was found in the bushes near Pachranda village, which contained the disfigured remains of the elderly woman.


Details of the Gruesome Crime

The sight of the body shocked everyone, as it was evident that the woman had been murdered, with her head and legs missing, leaving only the torso. Villagers promptly alerted the police, leading to the arrival of forensic teams, a dog squad, and drone units.


Police Investigation and Arrest

During their search in the forest, police discovered a sandal, which led them to investigate local homes. Bloodstains were found in one residence, and forensic analysis confirmed it as the crime scene. Additionally, police reviewed call records and location data from over 300 mobile numbers in the vicinity at the time of the incident.


Arrest of the Suspect

On March 20, three days after the body was found, police arrested Mukesh Bharti, a 38-year-old neighbor of the victim. Stolen jewelry and items used in the murder were recovered from his home.

Authorities revealed that Nathi Devi had gone to Mukesh Bharti's house to collect fodder when he attacked her, resulting in her death.
