SDPO Lakshminarayan Marandi stated, 'The victim's brother, Brahmaraj Sahu, filed the FIR. The investigation revealed that after his romantic advances were rejected, the accused planned and executed the murder. Bhojraj Sahu, son of Sundar Sahu, is a resident of Chitramaunda village under the Muribahal police station. We have gathered substantial evidence and are continuing our investigation. Currently, we have evidence of one person's involvement, but we will pursue further arrests as more evidence emerges. We have seized the stone used in the murder and two mobile phones. Our investigation at the crime scene has yielded additional evidence, including call records showing that the accused made 219 calls to the victim over two months, indicating his persistent advances. When the victim avoided him, he resorted to murder.'
