Tragic Murder Case: Woman Killed by Lover in Home Invasion

In a shocking incident, a woman was murdered by her lover who broke into her home. The assailant, identified as Aslam Ansari, also known as Aslam Khan, fled the scene but was later apprehended by police during a confrontation.

The suspect, a resident of Sikandar Pur Patti, confessed to the crime during interrogation, admitting that the murder occurred following a dispute. He is expected to be presented in court on Friday and subsequently remanded to jail.

Details of the Incident

The tragic event took place in Baldevpuri, located in the Katghar area. The victim, a mother of four, lived with her family. Her husband reported that she had attended a wedding in a nearby village on Wednesday.

She had informed him that she would stay overnight due to the cold weather and return the next morning. Around 7:30 PM on Wednesday, she called her husband to ask about a charger, and shortly after, she called again to say she would not be coming home that night due to poor road conditions.

The following morning, the husband learned of his wife's murder from her brother.

Children's Testimony

Upon returning home, the husband found his children locked in a room. His daughter revealed that Aslam Khan had been visiting their home for the past year and had threatened to harm them if they opposed him. On the night of the incident, Aslam arrived at their home, locked the children in a lower room, and took the wife upstairs.

The children heard their mother’s voice until about 9 PM, but they were unable to go upstairs due to the locked door. The next morning, they called out to her but received no response. They eventually opened a window and called for help, prompting a neighbor to unlock the door.

When they reached the upstairs room, they found their mother lying near the bed, unresponsive.

Police Investigation

Upon receiving news of the murder, the local police chief, along with forensic teams, arrived at the scene. Initial investigations indicated that the woman had been strangled, a conclusion later confirmed by the autopsy report.

In a swift response, police formed two teams to locate the suspect. Later that evening, they received information that Aslam was attempting to escape. Officers tracked him to a precise location, where he opened fire upon seeing them.

In return, the police fired back, injuring him in the leg. He was subsequently taken to the hospital, and authorities seized a firearm and a motorcycle from him.
