Damage to Nearby Homes

Eyewitness Accounts
Witnesses reported hearing a series of loud explosions, which led to chaos in the narrow residential streets of Burail. Authorities have recovered at least ten LPG cylinders from the scene, but the exact cause of the explosions has yet to be confirmed.
Allegations of Illegal Refilling
Local residents have alleged that illegal refilling of LPG cylinders was taking place inside the house where the explosions occurred. DSP Gurjeet Kaur confirmed that a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed regarding the incident, and investigations will also look into claims of illegal refilling and black market activities.
Many locals claim that illegal refilling and sale of LPG cylinders have become common in the Burail area, particularly within residential streets. They allege that cylinders were being stored and refilled under unsafe conditions, posing a constant threat to the lives of nearby residents.
Concerns Over Safety and Accessibility
A local woman accused the administration of repeatedly ignoring safety concerns, highlighting that heavy encroachments in the area often hinder emergency vehicles' access during crises. Police officials stated that the investigation is currently focused on determining the sequence of events leading to the blasts.
