Severe Incident in Yamunanagar District

A heartbreaking incident has emerged from the Yamunanagar district in Haryana. On Thursday morning, an LPG cylinder exploded in a residential quarter housing migrant workers in the Salem Pur Bangar area, resulting in severe burns to 11 individuals, including seven children. The blast was so powerful that it caused the walls of the quarter to collapse. According to Tarsem Kumar, the officer in charge of the Jagadhari (Sadar) police station, the explosion occurred near a local factory where labor quarters are situated. A family was preparing food on a wooden stove when gas began leaking from a nearby cylinder. The spark from the stove ignited the leaking gas, leading to a rapid spread of flames and a massive explosion. The force of the blast severely damaged the walls of the room.


Details of the Victims and Ongoing Investigation

Authorities reported that the victims include a two-month-old infant, two men aged 43, a 40-year-old woman, and an 18-year-old girl, with the other injured children aged between five and ten years. Following the incident, the injured were taken to a civil hospital for treatment. Eight individuals with serious burns have been referred to a hospital in Chandigarh. The police have stated that a thorough investigation into the incident is currently underway.
