Despite numerous attempts by their families to separate them, the couple remained inseparable. Their love story took a dark twist when the young man was imprisoned, and upon his release on bail, a devastating event unfolded, leaving both families in mourning.


Discovery of the Bodies

The incident occurred in the village of Hussainpur, located in the Nanota area of Saharanpur. A shocking discovery was made when the bodies of the young couple were found in a sugarcane field under suspicious circumstances, causing panic in the region. Reports indicate that a packet of poison was also found near their bodies. The bodies were discovered around 3 PM on Tuesday by a laborer named Simru, who was working in the field.


Identification of the Victims

Authorities have identified the deceased individuals. The 26-year-old male victim was a resident of Hussainpur, while his 20-year-old girlfriend has been identified as Neelam. A forensic team, which arrived with the police, recovered a mobile phone and empty packets of toxic substances from the scene. The police have since conducted a post-mortem examination on the bodies.


Previous Incidents and Investigation

According to the local police chief, Sachin Puniya, the initial assumption was that the couple died from consuming poison. However, further investigation revealed that this was a case of a romantic relationship gone awry. It was noted that the deceased young man had previously eloped with the young woman. Two years ago, he was accused of abducting her, leading to a complaint from her family and a subsequent case registered against him at the Ramapur Maniharan police station. He had recently been released on bail and was reported missing along with the young woman.
