Tragic Lightning Strike Claims Life in Odisha's Keonjhar District

Fatal Incident During Thunderstorm

A tragic incident unfolded in Nuakhaman village, located in the Rajnagar panchayat of Keonjhar district, when a man lost his life due to a lightning strike during a thunderstorm on Wednesday night. The victim, identified as Ishwar Munda, aged 35, was the son of Lakshman Munda from Ragada village, which falls under the jurisdiction of Pandapada police. The unfortunate event took place while he was visiting his in-laws. As a sudden storm hit the area, he sought shelter under a tree, where he was struck by lightning. Family members quickly transported him to the district headquarters hospital, but he was declared dead upon arrival. Authorities have initiated an investigation and the body has been returned to the family following a post-mortem examination.
