A tragic event unfolded in the tribal area of Bharmour on Monday afternoon as relentless rainfall triggered a landslide, resulting in a car accident that claimed the life of a 14-year-old girl and left two others injured.

The incident took place around 1:30 PM near Aura Kainchi Mor, approximately two kilometers from Dhakog. The vehicle (HP-39G-4990), which was transporting five devotees from Dharamshala, was hit by falling boulders during the sudden landslide.

In this unfortunate event, Dikshita (14), the daughter of Navneet from the village and post office Dallek, Dharamshala, suffered severe injuries. Despite immediate efforts to rush her to Civil Hospital Bharmour with the assistance of locals and Panchayat Pradhan Purushottam Kumar, medical personnel were unable to save her.

Two other passengers, including Babita, sustained minor injuries and were treated and released after receiving initial care.

Local residents, spearheaded by Pradhan Purushottam Kumar, were instrumental in rescuing the trapped individuals and facilitating prompt medical attention.

As rainfall continues to intensify, the frequency of landslides in Bharmour has increased. Authorities are urging both residents and pilgrims to exercise heightened caution on hilly roads and to avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather conditions.
