Kidnapping Incident in Whitefield

A heartbreaking case has emerged from the Whitefield area in eastern Bengaluru, where a six-year-old girl was kidnapped and subsequently murdered, as reported by local authorities on Wednesday.


According to police, the victim was the daughter of a migrant worker from West Bengal. The girl's father filed a missing person report after she disappeared on the afternoon of January 5, expressing suspicion about the involvement of a nearby laborer from West Bengal.


The father indicated his concerns about this individual, as he had been seen in the vicinity where the girl was playing. Following her disappearance, the family initiated a search for the child before alerting the police. Tragically, the girl's body was later discovered in a dry drain near Pattandur Agrahara.


Initial investigations suggest that the child may have been strangled. Authorities noted that there were no signs of sexual assault. The motive behind the murder remains unclear at this time. A case has been registered based on the family's complaint, and efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect.
