Horrific Crime in Gurugram

In a shocking event, 25-year-old Radhika Yadav, a promising tennis player from Gurugram, was fatally shot by her father at their residence in Sushant Lok 2 on Thursday morning. Radhika, who was ranked 113 in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and had a notable presence in doubles tennis, was born on March 23, 2000. She had competed in several matches against players like Viswanadh Harshini and Sun Yifan, among others.



According to Sandeep Kumar, a spokesperson for the Gurugram Police, the incident appears to have stemmed from a social media post that escalated tensions at home. He stated, "The father became agitated and shot her. The weapon, a licensed revolver, has been recovered from the premises."


Rajender Kumar, the Station House Officer at Sector 56 Police Station, mentioned that they were alerted by the hospital about a woman with gunshot wounds. "By the time we arrived, she had already succumbed to her injuries. Family members confirmed the father's involvement," he added.


Reports indicate that the father was reportedly upset with Radhika's frequent social media activity and her Instagram posts. He shot her five times, with three bullets striking her. She was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately did not survive.
