Heartbreaking Drowning Incident in Odisha
Bhadrak: In a tragic event, two young sisters drowned in a pond located in Bhadrak district, Odisha, on Thursday, according to local authorities.
The unfortunate incident occurred in Kishmat Krishnapur village, close to Basudevpur.
The victims have been identified as Chandini Mandal, aged 6, and her 5-year-old sister Nandini Mandal, both hailing from Karanpalli village.
While playing, the sisters accidentally fell into the pond. They were subsequently rushed to the Basudevpur Community Health Centre, where medical personnel pronounced them dead, as reported by a police official.
The bodies of the young girls have been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
