Animal Attack Claims Life of Young Girl in Maharajganj

In a heartbreaking incident in the Sohagibarwa police jurisdiction of Maharajganj district, a minor girl lost her life due to an animal attack. Authorities reported the incident on Saturday.

According to police, 14-year-old Guddi Chaudhary went to graze goats in the forest on Friday afternoon. When she did not return home by evening, her family began searching for her in the woods.

Sunil Rao, the ranger of the Sohagibarwa forest area, stated that villagers joined the family in the search, and on Saturday morning, they discovered the girl's body in the forest. The animal had attacked her face and back, among other parts of her body.

A team from the forest department has arrived at the scene to investigate the incident and to capture the animal responsible for the attack. Ranger Rao mentioned that no paw prints of the animal have been found so far.

He speculated that the attack could have been by a tiger or a leopard, but clarity on the situation would only come after a post-mortem examination. He has urged villagers to avoid venturing into the forest.
