A Disturbing Event in Moradabad and Lucknow

A shocking event unfolded in Moradabad and Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, where a 28-year-old woman tragically ended her life by jumping in front of an oncoming train. The impact was so severe that her torso was severed and fell onto the railway tracks, while her head became lodged in the train's engine, ultimately being transported to Lucknow.


Authorities from the Government Railway Police (GRP) have recovered both the head and torso and have launched an investigation into the incident. While the police are treating this case as a suicide, the victim's family claims she suffered from mental health issues, including a condition known as sleepwalking.


The woman, identified as Anshu, lived in Kanshiram Nagar within the jurisdiction of the Majhola police station in Moradabad. Her father, Mahipal Singh, works as a rickshaw puller. Relatives have stated that she had a history of sleepwalking. On the night of the incident, she was reported missing from her home and was struck by the AC Express (12430) traveling from New Delhi to Lucknow near Sirkoi Bhud.


The tragic event occurred between 2:00 and 2:30 AM, resulting in her death. While her head was caught in the engine and continued to move forward, her torso remained on the tracks. Local residents and police responded to the scene after receiving a call, and the family was able to identify her by a tattoo on her arm.


The head, which was lodged in the engine, traveled approximately 350 kilometers to Charbagh station in Lucknow. The GRP successfully removed the head from the engine and is continuing their investigation. The Moradabad GRP confirmed the details regarding the head and torso and stated that local police have taken appropriate action regarding the case.
