Tragic Incident in Saudi Arabia Claims Lives of Indian and Bangladeshi Nationals
Fatal Projectile Strike in Al-Kharj
On Sunday, a tragic event unfolded in Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia, where a projectile hit a residential area, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, one of whom was an Indian national, as reported by the Saudi Civil Defence. The incident also left 12 others injured. The deceased were identified as nationals from India and Bangladesh. Earlier that day, Iran's Revolutionary Guards announced they had targeted radar installations in various locations, including Al-Kharj.
In response to the situation, India's ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Suhel Ajaz Khan, conducted a virtual meeting with members of the Indian community. This interaction, shared on social media, included Deputy Chief of Mission Abu Mathen George and Counsellor (Community Welfare) Y Sabir. The ambassador assured the community of the Embassy's commitment to providing necessary support to Indian nationals affected by the recent US-Israel strikes on Iran. "The Embassy is prepared to assist any Indian citizens in need," the post stated.
