Tragic Incident in Raigarh: Deer Rescued from Dogs, Later Killed by Locals
Incident Overview
Raigarh News: A shocking incident in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh has raised serious concerns regarding wildlife conservation and human empathy. In the village of Delari, some locals initially saved an injured spotted deer from a pack of dogs, only to later kill the same defenseless animal and share its meat among themselves. The forest department acted swiftly, arresting five individuals involved in this act.
Details of the Incident
This incident occurred in Delari village, which falls under the Raigarh forest division. During the intense heat of the season, a spotted deer wandered into residential areas in search of food and water, having strayed from a nearby dense forest. Upon entering the village, it was attacked and injured by a pack of dogs.
According to forest officials, some villagers initially chased away the dogs and rescued the injured deer. However, this act of kindness quickly turned into a hunting plot. Instead of treating the injured deer or handing it over to the forest department, the villagers allegedly killed it and distributed its meat among themselves.
