Tragic Incident in Odisha: Father Kills Young Man in Fit of Rage

Odisha witnessed a shocking incident late Saturday night that left the community in disbelief. A father, in a fit of rage, brutally killed a young man and subsequently surrendered to the police. The accused has been identified as Rupa Pingu, while the victim is known as Karunakara Behera. Karunakara was a resident of the No. 1 Colony in Akhuapada Panchayat and worked as a helper for a JCB machine in Mohanpashi village.

On Saturday night, Rupa Pingu returned home and discovered another person in his daughter's room. Upon opening the door, he was enraged to find his daughter and Karunakara in a compromising situation. Believing that the young man was attempting to assault his daughter, Rupa seized a sharp weapon nearby and attacked Karunakara repeatedly. Within moments, the young man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Following the murder, Rupa disposed of the body near a canal to avoid immediate detection. However, he soon realized the gravity of his actions and went directly to the Dadra Ghati police station to surrender. The police arrived at the scene promptly, recovered Karunakara's body, and sent it for autopsy. Rupa Pingu is currently in custody and being interrogated. In the wake of this tragedy, the victim's father, Kashinath Behera, along with family members, has demanded strict action against the accused. The village remains in shock and silence following this incident.
