Brothers' Suicide Shocks Nagpur Community

In a heartbreaking event on Thursday in Nagpur district, two brothers reportedly took their own lives by jumping in front of a freight train. A police official provided details about the incident, which occurred around 10 AM near Mangav village in the Sawner police jurisdiction.


The victims, Niranjan Lakshman Phirke (40) and Yogesh Lakshman Phirke (37), leaped in front of a train traveling on the Nagpur-Chhindwara route. According to the official, the train's driver alerted the Sawner station master, prompting a response from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and local police.


After conducting a post-mortem, the authorities handed over the bodies to their family members. Niranjan is survived by his wife, a son, and a daughter, while Yogesh leaves behind his wife and a son.
