A horrifying incident has emerged from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, where an aunt allegedly killed her four-year-old niece in a twisted act of revenge against her sister-in-law. The aunt, driven by jealousy over a romantic relationship, drowned the child in a water tank and subsequently attacked her sister-in-law with a knife. The police have apprehended the suspect.

Details of the Gruesome Act

The shocking crime took place in the Basikala village of the Shahpur police station area. According to police reports, a young woman named Mana was involved in a romantic relationship, which her sister-in-law frequently disrupted. In a calculated move, Mana decided to eliminate her sister-in-law as an obstacle. On Monday night, she drugged the entire family during dinner, putting them to sleep. She then took her four-year-old niece and submerged her in the water tank, leading to the child's tragic death.

Sister-in-Law Severely Injured

After drowning her niece, Mana attacked her sister-in-law, Firdous, with a vegetable knife, inflicting serious injuries. Firdous's three young children also suffered minor injuries during the attack. Neighbors, alerted by the commotion, rushed to the scene to find Firdous bleeding and in distress, while the child was missing. They immediately informed the police and took Firdous and her children to the hospital, where she was later referred to a facility in Meerut.

Discovery of the Child's Body

Meanwhile, family members began searching for the missing child. Tragically, they found her body floating in the water tank. The police took possession of the body for an autopsy. Upon questioning the suspect, she confessed to the crime, revealing that her sister-in-law had arranged a marriage for her with another man after learning about her relationship. When her boyfriend left for a job, Mana secretly continued to communicate with him, which her sister-in-law attempted to obstruct, prompting Mana to plot her revenge.
