Tragic Incident in Mumbai: Parents Leave Daughter Locked During Wedding

Life is often unpredictable, filled with accidents and coincidences that can change everything in an instant. The distinction between an accident and a coincidence lies in the outcomes; accidents can lead to dire consequences, while coincidences can bring both good and bad results. Unfortunately, some accidents leave individuals with nothing but regret. A recent incident in Mumbai highlights this tragic reality.

In a heartbreaking event in the suburban area of Dadar, a 16-year-old girl named Shravan Chavan lost her life due to suffocation. Her parents had locked her in a room while they attended a wedding, believing she could study in peace. However, a fire broke out in her room, making escape impossible. The parents had left her at home to focus on her studies, securing the door to prevent disturbances. At around 1:45 PM, a fire ignited on the third floor of their five-story apartment building.

The fire spread rapidly, engulfing much of the third floor and reaching Shravan's room. Fire brigade officials reported that both the inside and outside of her room were locked, preventing any chance of rescue. Additionally, a kerosene can was discovered near the scene, raising further concerns.

Shravan suffered severe injuries from the fire and was rushed to a local hospital, but unfortunately, she did not survive. According to police reports, her father works as a police officer at the Vakola station. The fire also destroyed several valuable items in their home, and it took firefighters over three hours to control the blaze. Investigations are ongoing to determine how the kerosene can ended up at the location.
