Tragic Incident in Mumbai: Parents Leave Daughter Locked During Wedding
Parents Leave Daughter Locked in Room While Attending Wedding
Life is often unpredictable, filled with accidents and coincidences that can change everything in an instant. The distinction between an accident and a coincidence lies in the outcomes; accidents can lead to dire consequences, while coincidences can bring about both good and bad results. Unfortunately, some accidents leave individuals with nothing but regret. A recent incident in Mumbai highlights this stark reality.
In a tragic event in the suburban area of Dadar, a 16-year-old girl named Shravani Chavan lost her life due to suffocation. Her parents, intending to allow her to study in peace, locked her in her room before leaving for a wedding. However, a fire broke out in her room, making escape impossible. The parents had left Shravani at home, believing she would be undisturbed while they attended the wedding.
The fire ignited around 1:45 PM on the third floor of their five-story apartment building, quickly spreading to Shravani's room. Fire brigade officials reported that both the inside and outside of her room were locked, preventing any chance of rescue. Additionally, a kerosene canister was discovered near the scene, raising further questions about the incident.
Shravani suffered severe injuries from the fire and was rushed to a local hospital, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries. According to police reports, her father works as a police officer at the Vakola station. The fire also destroyed several valuable items in their home, and it took firefighters over three hours to control the blaze. Investigations are ongoing to determine how the kerosene canister ended up in the apartment.
