Murder-Suicide in Worli, Mumbai

In a shocking incident in Worli, Mumbai, a 60-year-old man reportedly shot his wife with a country-made pistol before taking his own life on Sunday, according to police reports.

An official stated that the tragic event occurred around 6 AM in a residential building located in Siddharth Nagar, central Mumbai. Rajmanohar Nampally allegedly shot his 53-year-old wife, Lata, before turning the gun on himself.

The official further revealed that Nampally lived with his wife, son, and daughter-in-law in an apartment. There had been frequent disputes between the father and son regarding living arrangements. On Saturday, an argument broke out between them while under the influence of alcohol, during which the woman sided with her son, leading to Nampally's anger towards her.

Both bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and an investigation is currently underway.
