Tragic Incident in Maharajganj: SSB Soldier's Husband Commits Murder-Suicide

Shocking Murder-Suicide in Gandhi Nagar

In a disturbing incident in the Gandhi Nagar neighborhood of Maharajganj, the husband of a female SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal) soldier took the lives of their two young children before ending his own life by hanging. This tragic event has sent shockwaves throughout the community. The deceased left behind messages on the walls of the room, accusing his wife of infidelity and communicating with another man.

In a suicide note, Amresh expressed his anguish, stating that despite being together, his wife Vandana was in contact with another man named Sonu. He claimed she told him that he could do nothing to stop her. Amresh lamented that he could not keep his children away from her and blamed Vandana, her lover Sonu Gautam, and several family members for their financial exploitation. He alleged that his wife was coerced into giving them money every month, which ultimately led to the family's demise.

Vandana, who was stationed with the 66th battalion of the SSB, had left for duty after completing household chores. Shortly after her departure, Amresh committed this horrific act. A fellow soldier residing in the lower part of the building heard suspicious noises from above and went to investigate, uncovering the grim reality.

Upon arrival, police and SSB officials were horrified by the scene. The lifeless body of their four-year-old daughter Kanchan was found hanging from the window, while the three-year-old son Amarendra was discovered on the floor. After taking the lives of his children, Amresh hanged himself from the ceiling fan.
