Shocking Murder-Suicide Case in Palamu
In a disturbing incident in Palamu, Jharkhand, a young man has allegedly murdered his minor cousin before taking his own life. Reports indicate that the girl was living with her uncle to pursue her studies.
On Monday, a 23-year-old man reportedly attacked his cousin with an axe, resulting in her death, and subsequently jumped in front of a train. Authorities suspect that there may have been an illicit relationship between the two, which escalated into a violent confrontation.
The girl was staying at her uncle's house for educational purposes. On Sunday night, a dispute arose between her and her cousin, Bittu. In a fit of rage, Bittu used an axe from the house to fatally assault her.
Young Man Leaves Home Claiming Suicide
After committing the murder, Bittu left his home, telling family members he was going to commit suicide. His body was discovered on the railway tracks the following morning.
Police reported that Bittu's body was found on the railway tracks in Bakhari, while the 16-year-old girl's body was located at her uncle's residence. Initial investigations suggest that Bittu had an illicit relationship with his cousin, and the murder occurred following a heated argument.
Suicide Committed Two Kilometers from Home
Following the murder, Bittu jumped in front of a train approximately two kilometers from his home. Authorities have sent both bodies for post-mortem examinations and are currently investigating the case.
The officer in charge of the local police station, Lalji, confirmed that the weapon used in the murder has been seized, and both bodies have been taken into custody for autopsy. The police are thoroughly examining all aspects related to the alleged romantic involvement and the ensuing conflict.
