Fatal Tractor Accident in Jhansi District

A tragic incident occurred at Murata Ghat in the Chirgaon area of Jhansi district, where a tractor overturned under suspicious circumstances during sand mining, resulting in the death of the driver. This incident sparked outrage among local residents, as reported by the police on Tuesday.


Authorities indicated that a murder case has been filed against nine individuals based on a complaint from the victim's family. Inspector Kuldeep Tiwari from Chirgaon police station stated that Sunil Kushwaha, a 30-year-old tractor driver from Chirgaon, died under questionable circumstances. His brother, Sukhram, lodged a complaint leading to the registration of a murder case against Ravindra Dahu, Vishal, Satish, and six others.


According to police reports, the tractor overturned after sand mining at Murata Ghat, leading to Kushwaha's death. It was noted that following the accident, some individuals allegedly attempted to dispose of his body using a two-wheeler. However, family members and villagers witnessed this, prompting the suspects to abandon the body on the road and flee.


In response to this incident, the aggrieved family and local villagers accused the suspects of murder, leading to protests and road blockades on the route from Murata Ghat to Chirgaon. Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene to manage the situation and sent the body for post-mortem examination.
