A shocking incident occurred in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, where a 3-year-old girl fell into boiling syrup while playing. The child suffered severe burns and was rushed to the hospital by her family, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries during treatment. Details of the Incident
On May 12, a wedding was being celebrated in the home of Surendra Yadav, a resident of Ward No. 4 in the Bansgaon police station area. On that Saturday afternoon, sweets were being prepared. Rajendra Gupta, a neighbor, was making sweets with his associates. A large pot of sugar syrup was boiling for making gulab jamun when the young girl, the granddaughter of the halwai (sweet maker), accidentally fell into the syrup. Upon falling, she screamed, prompting Rajendra to pull her out, but she was already severely burned. Many bystanders also suffered burns while trying to assist her.
Tragic Outcome at the Hospital
The family rushed the girl to the primary health center in Bansgaon, where initial treatment was administered. However, due to her critical condition, she was referred to BRD Medical College. The child fought for her life for nearly four hours in the hospital but tragically passed away around 7 PM on Saturday. The news of her death left her parents devastated. The deceased, identified as Aditi, was the eldest of two children, with a younger brother who is just one year old.
