Tragic Incident in Fatehpur: Three Killed in Car Accident During Family Dispute
Overview of the Incident
A shocking incident has emerged from Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, where a man fleeing with his sister-in-law tragically ran over his in-laws. This unfortunate event resulted in the deaths of three individuals, including the brother-in-law, and left four others injured.
Details of the Case:
In Fatehpur district, a dramatic situation unfolded when a man, identified as Deepak Soni, attempted to escape with his underage cousin sister-in-law. When family members tried to intervene, Deepak drove his car into them, leading to the fatal incident.
The area was thrown into chaos following the event. Reports indicate that Deepak had previously eloped with his cousin sister-in-law about a week ago. A village council meeting was held on Sunday evening to resolve the matter, but no agreement was reached. After the meeting, Deepak attempted to leave with the sister-in-law when the family members tried to stop him.
As the family pursued him, they attempted to block the car near Korwa, but Deepak accelerated, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, including his brother-in-law. The deceased have been identified as Annu Soni (35), Awadh Bihari Soni (23), and Satyawan Soni (30).
Reason Behind the Elopement:
Family members revealed that Deepak intended to marry his sister-in-law to his own brother-in-law, Satyawan Soni. This led to a dispute, and Deepak had taken her to his village a week prior, where they were married. The disagreement continued, prompting both sides to attend the village council for a resolution, which ultimately failed. Following the incident, the police chief arrived with a significant force and initiated an investigation with three teams assigned to the case.
Among the injured, Mamta Devi has been referred to the district hospital in Fatehpur in critical condition. The incident has caused widespread panic in the district, leading the police chief to deploy additional forces to maintain order.
Police Superintendent Abhimanyu Manglik stated that the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute. The individual involved had come to the police station for mediation, and upon returning home, he collided with motorcycles, resulting in three fatalities. The injured have been hospitalized, and the families of the deceased have accused Deepak of murder by running them over, which is currently under investigation.
