A heartbreaking incident has emerged from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, where a Class 8 student tragically took her own life following a horrific assault. Reports indicate that the young girl, overwhelmed by the trauma, committed suicide by hanging herself. The post-mortem examination confirmed both sexual assault and physical injuries.

In the Mirganj area of Bareilly, a minor girl was reportedly raped, leading to her tragic decision to end her life. According to sources, the 26-year-old accused, identified as Zeeshan, lured the girl away and subjected her to brutal assault on April 27.

Post-Mortem Confirms Assault

The girl, traumatized by the horrific act, returned home and subsequently took her life. The post-mortem report verified the sexual assault, revealing multiple signs of physical trauma, including bite marks and scratches. Anshika Verma, the Additional Superintendent of Police (South), stated that initially, the family hesitated to report the incident, labeling it as suicide. However, following the post-mortem findings, they filed a formal complaint.

Accused Attempted to Silence Victim's Sister

The victim's younger sister informed the police that Zeeshan frequently visited the area near their school. He would give her small amounts of money to ensure she wouldn’t disclose her sister's meetings to their parents. Anshika Verma further explained that based on technical surveillance, CCTV footage, and family testimonies, the police apprehended Zeeshan near the Mirganj weekly market on Tuesday. Strict action is being pursued against him, and the police are conducting a thorough investigation.
