Horrific Family Tragedy in Banda District
In a shocking incident in Banda district, Uttar Pradesh, a man reportedly took the lives of his wife and their four-month-old son before ending his own life. This tragic event unfolded when the police were alerted to a foul odor emanating from a residence, leading to the discovery of the bodies.
The Superintendent of Police, Palash Bansal, revealed that the owner of the house in the Azad Nagar locality of Atarra notified the authorities after noticing the unpleasant smell. Upon breaking into the locked room, officers found the deceased: 23-year-old Jitendra, his 20-year-old wife Gaurav, and their infant son.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Preliminary investigations indicate that Jitendra had been working as a painter in Ahmedabad and was living with his family in a rented room in Atarra.
According to the police, Jitendra returned from Ahmedabad on Thursday and, following a dispute over food, he fatally attacked his wife with a sharp weapon before strangling his son and subsequently committing suicide by hanging.
Authorities confirmed that the bodies had been in the locked room since Thursday. The landlord reported the situation to the police on Saturday after the smell became unbearable. Investigations into the case are ongoing.
