Shooting Incident in Cobb County


In a heartbreaking incident, Sheetal Wrzesien, an Indian American and former executive at Google, was fatally shot by her husband in Cobb County, Georgia, according to local news sources. The tragic event unfolded at their residence on Laurel Creek Trail.


During the altercation, her son Jason sustained injuries. The suspect, 56-year-old Kirk B. Wrzesien, was apprehended on Tuesday evening at their home near Atlanta.


A neighbor, Joanne Anderson, expressed her shock at the disturbance, stating she was unaware of the situation's severity. "I didn’t know if someone had a heart attack or what had happened," she remarked.


The Cobb County Police Department reported that officers were dispatched to the residence following gunfire reports shortly before 8 PM. Upon arrival, they discovered 57-year-old Sheetal Wrzesien with multiple gunshot wounds inside the home.


She was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. Kirk Wrzesien is now facing serious charges, including felony murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and two counts of firearm possession during the commission of a felony.
