In a tragic event in the Giridih district of Jharkhand, one individual lost their life and three others sustained injuries when a high-tension wire came into contact with a procession during Muharram preparations on Sunday. An official confirmed the details.

The incident occurred around 11:30 AM in the Chakosingha area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Ghodthamba police station, located approximately 200 kilometers from the state capital, Ranchi.

According to Ramnivas Yadav, the Deputy Commissioner of Giridih, the accident happened when the upper part of a Tazia made contact with the electrical wires.

He explained that while some individuals were setting up the Tazia, it inadvertently touched the high-tension line. As a result, one person died, and three others were injured. Another official reported that the injured individuals have been admitted to a hospital in Giridih.
