Fatal Electric Shock in Rampur

On Wednesday, a tragic incident in the Rampur area resulted in the deaths of two sisters due to an electric shock while heating water. Authorities confirmed the details.


The victims have been identified as Nidhi, aged 21, and her younger sister Lakshmi, aged 16, both residents of the Kotwali police jurisdiction.


According to Bablu Kumar Verma, the officer in charge of the Kotwali police station, the incident occurred when Nidhi came into contact with an electric rod while attempting to heat water. Lakshmi was electrocuted while trying to rescue her sister.


The police arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the report. They noted that the family requested not to send the bodies for post-mortem examination.


Kapil Dev Agarwal, a minister from Uttar Pradesh, visited the grieving family to express his condolences.
