MCA Student's Suicide Shocks Noida Institute

A third-year MCA student at the Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET) in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, has reportedly taken his own life in his hostel room. This distressing news was confirmed by local police on Sunday.

According to Inspector Sarvesh Kumar Singh, the student, identified as Krishnakant (25), originally from Jharkhand, was residing in 'Crown Hostel' with a fellow student named Hrithik. Hrithik mentioned that Krishnakant had made a concerning phone call to his father, which raised alarm bells.

The father, worried about his son's state of mind, instructed Hrithik to check on Krishnakant immediately, fearing he might harm himself.

Upon receiving the call, Hrithik sent a friend to the hostel room, but when they arrived, the door was locked from the inside, and there was no response to their calls. Singh reported that the friend forced the door open and discovered Krishnakant hanging inside. A suicide note was found at the scene, stating, 'I give up; please donate my body and belongings to my family.'
