This tragic incident took place on Friday in the Yakutganj village of the Sahawar police station area. The child succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Saturday, prompting the police to arrest the suspect and expedite the investigation.


What Led to the Dispute?

Reports indicate that the victim, identified as Yashpal, was attending a naming ceremony at his family's home, which was filled with relatives and villagers celebrating. However, a dispute arose among some individuals consuming alcohol, escalating into a serious confrontation.


The Shooting Incident

According to the deceased child's uncle, Anuj, the accused, Dhanesh Yadav, demanded water from the child while inebriated. When the boy refused, the assailant lost his temper and shot him in the abdomen, causing severe injuries.


Panic ensued at the scene, and the injured child was rushed to the Kasganj district hospital, where he was later referred to Aligarh due to his critical condition. Unfortunately, he passed away during treatment on Saturday.


Police Response

Station House Officer (SHO) Govind Ballabh Sharma stated that a case has been registered based on the victim's family's complaint. The suspect fled the scene but was apprehended near the Khitawali canal bridge. The police also recovered the weapon used in the incident from the accused.


Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar Bharti mentioned that the process of sending the accused to jail is underway. Given the seriousness of the case, the police are investigating every aspect to uncover the complete truth behind the incident.
