Tragic Incident at Jharkhand Station Claims Life of 48-Year-Old Man

Fatal Attempt to Board Moving Train
In a tragic event on Tuesday, a 48-year-old man lost his life while attempting to board a moving train at a station in the East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, as reported by an official.
His friend, who managed to board the local train, jumped off upon witnessing his companion fall and sustained injuries in the process.
According to a Railway Protection Force officer, the incident occurred at the Haldi Pokhar station, part of the South Eastern Railway's Chakradharpur division.
The deceased has been identified as Basant Vishwakarma, a resident of Jamshedpur. He and his friend, Sanjay Sharma, had arrived at the station and noticed the Tata-Badampahar MEMU train departing from the platform.
The officer stated that while attempting to board the train, Basant slipped and fell, leading to his tragic death. In a bid to save his friend, Sharma leaped from the train but suffered minor injuries to his head and leg.
