Assault at a Popular Tourist Spot

A disturbing incident has emerged from Ganjam district in Odisha, where a young woman was reportedly assaulted by a group of men at Gopalpur Beach, a well-known tourist attraction.

Friend Tied Up During the Attack

Reports indicate that the victim, a college student, was accompanied by a male friend at the beach. The assailants allegedly restrained him and took turns assaulting her.

Victim Files Police Report

The survivor has since filed a complaint at the Gopalpur police station. Authorities have detained seven individuals for questioning related to this case.

Gopalpur Beach is frequently visited by both locals and tourists, making this incident particularly alarming.

Separate Incident in Delhi

In an unrelated case, Delhi Police apprehended three minors involved in a robbery that resulted in the murder of a victim who attempted to resist the theft of his mobile phone.

The police acted quickly on leads, capturing the minors and recovering a dagger used in the crime, along with the victim's wallet and ID.

Details of the Delhi Incident

On June 10, police were alerted by Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital about a stabbing victim named Amit Kumar. Upon arrival, officers discovered he had suffered two severe stab wounds to his chest. Despite medical intervention, he unfortunately passed away.

Due to a lack of witnesses or immediate evidence, the case was initially treated as a blind murder, leading to the registration of an FIR and subsequent investigation.
