Tragic Incident: 60-Year-Old Man Loses Life After Falling into Drain in Kandhamal

Fatal Accident in Khajuripada

Khajuripada: A tragic incident occurred in Kandhamal district where a 60-year-old man lost his life after falling into a drain near Raghupadar village, as reported by local authorities on Sunday.

The victim, identified as Chandra Mani Bhoi, was searching for his buffalo when he unexpectedly slipped into the drain and became unconscious.

His family members managed to rescue him and rushed him to the district headquarters hospital in Phulbani, but he was declared dead upon arrival.

Following a complaint lodged by his nephew, Mrutyunjaya Bhoi, police have registered a case (06/25) at the Khajuripada police station.

Inspector-in-Charge Chapad Hari Pradhan stated that an investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
