In a tragic incident on Friday, a helicopter crash in the mountainous region of Arizona resulted in the deaths of four individuals, as confirmed by local authorities.


The accident occurred near Telegraph Canyon, approximately 64 miles (103 kilometers) east of Phoenix, around 11 AM, according to a statement from the Pinal County Sheriff's Office shared on X.


The victims included the 59-year-old pilot and three passengers, two of whom were 21 years old and one aged 22, as reported by the sheriff's office.


The sheriff's office expressed condolences, stating, “Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.”


An investigation into the crash is being conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.


The helicopter had departed from an airport located in the nearby town of Queen Creek.
