Tragic Gas Cylinder Explosion in Amethi Claims One Life and Injures Another
Gas Cylinder Blast Leads to Fatal Incident in Amethi
In a tragic event in Amethi district, Uttar Pradesh, a house collapsed, likely due to a gas cylinder explosion, resulting in one fatality and another person injured. Authorities reported that the incident occurred around 10 PM on Tuesday at the residence of a man named Shiv Mahesh Pandey, located on the Bhader-Jamo road. Local residents recounted that the explosion caused the entire structure to crumble.
According to police, Satish Chand Tiwari, aged 37, from Bastidei village under the Gauriganj police station, lost his life in the blast. Another individual, Balram Chand Pandey, from Jamo, sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to the district hospital in Gauriganj.
Balram Pandey, the owner of a cold drink warehouse situated in the house, mentioned that he was checking the accounts in the warehouse when the explosion occurred. He recounted to the police, 'I was unlocking the gate when a loud blast happened, and the entire building collapsed.'
Vinod Kumar Singh, the station officer, indicated that the explosion appears to have been caused by a gas cylinder. He added that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
