Tragic Fire Incident in Noida Claims Lives of Two Firefighters
Fire Breaks Out in Noida Industrial Area
Noida (Uttar Pradesh), August 4 - A devastating fire at an electronic chip manufacturing unit in an industrial zone of Noida led to the tragic deaths of two firefighters due to falling debris, while three others sustained injuries. This information was shared by a police spokesperson on Tuesday. According to the police, the incident occurred late Monday night at the ILGIM company located in the Ecotech-3 industrial area.
Upon receiving reports of the fire, at least six fire department vehicles rushed to the scene to initiate firefighting efforts. The police spokesperson indicated that during the operation, a wall and an iron beam within the factory premises unexpectedly collapsed, severely injuring five firefighters. All injured personnel were promptly transported to a hospital via ambulance, where firefighters Rohit Yadav and Teerathpal Singh succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
The spokesperson further noted that the condition of the injured firefighters Rajpal Singh, Manish Kumar, and Amit Kumar is stable, and they are currently receiving medical care. Additionally, senior police officials and a team from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are present at the site. The police are investigating the cause of the fire and are taking necessary legal actions regarding the incident.
