Fire Breaks Out in Dwarka Apartment

A devastating fire erupted in an apartment located on the seventh floor of the Subhad Apartment in Dwarka Sector-13, Delhi, leading to the heartbreaking deaths of two children attempting to escape by jumping from the building. The incident prompted the dispatch of eight fire engines to the scene as many residents became trapped within the residential structure, with flames engulfing an entire floor.


Reports indicate that the fire broke out in a flat near MRV School at around 10:01 AM. Fire officials have yet to confirm the number of injuries resulting from the blaze.


Details of the Incident

According to the Delhi Police, the two children, a boy and a girl, both aged 10, jumped from the balcony in a desperate attempt to save themselves but were pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. Tragically, their father, 35-year-old Yash Yadav, also leaped from the balcony and was later declared dead at IGI Hospital.


Fire officials reported that they received the alarm about the fire at 10:01 AM, leading to the rapid deployment of eight fire engines. Efforts to extinguish the flames are ongoing, with authorities working diligently to bring the situation under control. Police, fire department personnel, and ambulances are present at the scene.
