On Monday, a devastating fire broke out in a three-story commercial building located in the Aliganj area of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, resulting in the tragic deaths of at least 15 individuals and injuring seven others. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the site to assess the situation and ordered a thorough investigation into the incident. He also met with the families of the victims, announcing a compensation of ₹5 lakh for each deceased's family and ₹50,000 for the injured, while instructing officials to ensure their proper medical treatment and rehabilitation.

The deceased and injured were retrieved from the roof of a neighboring building.
