Devastating Incident in Indore

Indore: A tragic fire incident occurred early Wednesday morning in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, resulting in the deaths of seven individuals. The fire ignited following an explosion at an electric vehicle charging station situated outside a three-story residence.

According to officials, the situation worsened when several cooking gas cylinders inside the house also exploded, exacerbating the flames.

The fire broke out in the Brajeshwari Annex Colony between 3:30 AM and 4:30 AM, as reported by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kundan Mandloi.

In addition to the fatalities, a child is currently unaccounted for and is being actively searched for, the ACP confirmed.

Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh stated that the explosion originated from the charging point of a vehicle parked outside the residence.

He explained, "The explosion at the charging station led to a fire that quickly spread throughout the house."

The electronic locks on the house doors posed a challenge for emergency responders trying to gain access, according to officials.

The police commissioner noted that the explosions from the gas cylinders further fueled the fire.

"Three individuals trapped inside the house were successfully rescued," he added.

At the time of the incident, it was reported that nearly ten people were present in the house, as mentioned by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Amarendra Singh.

Dr. Arvind Ghanghoria, Dean of Government Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, stated that the bodies of the deceased were transported to a government hospital.

"Two individuals who were rescued were also taken to the hospital. After receiving initial treatment, they opted to be transferred to another facility and were subsequently discharged," he said.
