Devastating Blaze in Arki Town

A tragic incident unfolded in the old bus stand area of Arki town, located in Himachal Pradesh's Solan district, where a massive fire erupted early Monday morning. A seven-year-old child lost their life in the blaze, and there are fears that several individuals, including two women and four children, may still be trapped inside the burning buildings.

The situation escalated dramatically when multiple LPG cylinders exploded, causing the flames to spread quickly and complicating the efforts of firefighters trying to bring the fire under control.

Gaurav Singh, the Superintendent of Police for Solan, confirmed that both police and fire brigade teams were actively engaged in rescue operations at the scene.

To enhance the rescue efforts, teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have been dispatched.

Local legislator Sanjay Awasthi reported that eight to nine individuals are believed to be trapped in the inferno, with the deceased child hailing from a family of migrant workers.

Officials indicated that the explosion of six to seven cylinders exacerbated the fire, leading to significant damage to surrounding properties.

In response to the tragedy, State BJP President Rajiv Bindal and MP Suresh Kashyap expressed their condolences, stating that the incident has deeply affected the entire state.

They described the child's untimely death as a heartbreaking loss and offered prayers for the family, urging the administration to prioritize the search for the missing individuals and provide immediate support to those affected.

Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, along with Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur and MP Anurag Thakur, also conveyed their sorrow over the incident, extending their sympathies to the family of the deceased child and hoping for the swift recovery of the injured and missing.

The BJP leadership emphasized the need for prompt action regarding the rehabilitation and compensation of the traders and families who have suffered significant financial setbacks due to this disaster.
