Fatal Incident in Salem Pur

A tragic incident occurred in the Salem Pur town of Deoria district on Sunday morning when a fire broke out in a home, resulting in the death of a woman. According to police reports, the victim, identified as Sunita, aged 45, was living with her son, daughter-in-law, and daughter in the Salahabad neighborhood.


Sunita, originally from Assam, was reportedly trapped in the blaze and succumbed to her injuries. The police revealed that her husband, Dev Anand, had been married twice. Sunita had been residing in a rented accommodation in Salahabad with her son Dhananjay, daughter-in-law Reshma, and daughter Sonam for the past three years.


On the day of the incident, both her son and daughter were away from home, leaving Sunita and her daughter-in-law present. Around 11 AM, a fire erupted in one of the rooms, leading to Sunita's tragic death on the spot.


Deepak Shukla, the police circle officer of Salem Pur, stated that a canine unit has been deployed to the scene, and a forensic team is collecting evidence. He mentioned that they are currently recording statements from the victim's son and daughter-in-law. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, and the police are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
