Family of Four Takes Their Lives in Sagar District

In a heartbreaking incident in the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, a family of four has reportedly taken their own lives. Authorities revealed that the family ingested sulfas tablets in a tragic act of desperation.


The deceased have been identified as Manohar Lodhi, aged 45, along with his children Ankit, 16, and Shivani, 18, as well as their 70-year-old grandmother, Phulrani Lodhi. This unfortunate event occurred in Tehar village, and the reasons behind this drastic decision are currently being investigated.


According to a senior police official, Phulrani and Ankit were pronounced dead at the scene, while Shivani succumbed to her injuries during medical treatment. Manohar was transported to Sagar for care but tragically passed away en route.


A doctor at Khurai Civil Hospital confirmed that all four individuals had consumed sulfas tablets, noting that two of them were already deceased upon arrival.


Separate Incident of Poisoning in Firozabad

In an unrelated case from Ulau village in Firozabad, a young man named Sunil lost his life due to poisoning, which was allegedly orchestrated by his wife in collusion with her lover.


Firozabad City SP Ravi Shankar Prasad reported that a case was filed on July 24 after Sunil's mother accused her daughter-in-law and a local man of poisoning her son. Both suspects have since been apprehended and are currently in custody.


SP Prasad stated, "A case was registered on July 24 after the plaintiff from Ulau, under Tundla police station, accused her daughter-in-law and a man from the same village of poisoning her son Sunil. Both the accused have been arrested and sent to jail. They were allegedly involved in an affair, which Sunil discovered, leading to the poisoning of his food."
