Tragic Electrocution Claims Life of Himachal Pradesh Electricity Worker

Fatal Incident in Shimla
Shimla: An employee of the Himachal Pradesh electricity department tragically lost his life due to electrocution while performing his duties in the 16 Mile region of Halog Dhammi sub-tehsil, near Shimla.
The deceased, identified as Harvinder Singh, aged 29, had recently celebrated his marriage just 45 days prior. Originally from Tripal village in the Dehra sub-division of Kangra district, he was working as part of a team in the Halog Dhammi area. Reports indicate that while he was installing a new electricity meter at a residence, he lost his footing and accidentally came into contact with a live low-tension line.
The severe electric shock caused him to fall, resulting in critical injuries to his head and nose. Local residents quickly transported him to the Community Health Centre in Halog Dhammi, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Harvinder's untimely passing has left his family in deep grief, and the entire community is mourning the loss. His bride is heartbroken, and a household that was recently filled with wedding joy is now preparing for his final rites.
Authorities conducted a postmortem at IGMC-Shimla and have returned his body to the grieving family.
