Drowning Accident During Cricket Game

In a heartbreaking incident in the Khadda area of Kushinagar district, two young boys tragically drowned in a pit filled with wastewater while playing cricket on Thursday. According to police officials, the boys, Aryan, aged five, and his neighbor, three-year-old Mangal, were playing cricket near their homes in the Bhujouli Purab Tola area around 11:30 AM when the ball landed in a pit designed for collecting dirty water.


In an attempt to retrieve the ball, both children entered the pit but unfortunately drowned. Bystanders quickly pulled the boys out and rushed them to the community health center in Turkaha, where doctors pronounced them dead. Authorities reported that upon receiving the news, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ramveer Singh and Khadda Police Station Chief Girijesh Upadhyay arrived at the scene and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination.
