Drowning Incident in Chhatarpur District

On Sunday, a heartbreaking incident occurred in Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh, where three children from the same family drowned in a pond. According to police reports, the tragedy unfolded in the village of Utawali, under the jurisdiction of Pipat police station.


The siblings, two brothers and their sister, were swimming in the Ghuvau pond when one of them began to struggle in the water. In an attempt to rescue him, the other two siblings also became trapped in the deep water.


Local residents alerted nearby villagers, who rushed to help and managed to pull the children out. Unfortunately, they were taken to the Bijawar health center, where doctors pronounced them dead. The deceased have been identified as Hari Yadav (12), Bhanu Pratap Yadav (7), and Sunita Yadav (10).


Ajay Kumar Rithoria, the sub-divisional police officer of Bijawar, confirmed that all three children belonged to the same family. Upon receiving news of the incident, police arrived at the scene. Rajesh Shukla, the BJP MLA from Bijawar, visited the hospital and expressed his condolences, labeling the event as tragic.
