Drowning Incident in Tonk District


Jaipur: In a heartbreaking incident, eight individuals lost their lives after drowning in the Banas River located in the Tonk district of Rajasthan on Tuesday, according to police reports.


Three other members of the group were successfully rescued and are currently in stable condition, as confirmed by Superintendent of Police Vikas Sangwan.


The tragedy unfolded when a group of 11 men, aged between 25 and 30, decided to take a dip in the river but unfortunately slipped into deeper waters.


Emergency services quickly retrieved them and transported them to a nearby hospital, where medical staff pronounced eight of them dead.


The exact circumstances surrounding their fall into the deep water remain unclear.
